Intellectual property rights
The works in this site are protected by copyright law. The University reserves all of its rights.
The University is the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in the site and in the material appearing on the site. The material includes (but is not limited to) works such as images, artwork, text, data, files, audio/visual clips, illustrations, designs and documentation (the 'Content') and the collection, arrangement and assembly of the Content.
Permitted use of the Content
Unless otherwise indicated on the site, you may access, download and/or print extracts from the Content for your personal and non-commercial use. You may also draw the attention of others within your organisation to the Content, using referencing as appropriate. Unless explicitly licensed or permitted by us, you may not:
- use any part of the Content for (direct or indirect) commercial purposes or advantage;
- modify or alter (paper or digital) copies of any Content printed off or downloaded in any way;
- sell, resell, license, transfer, transmit, display in any form, perform, hire, lease or loan any Content in whole or in part;
- systematically extract and/or re-utilise substantial parts of the Content; and/or
- create and/or publish your own database that features substantial parts of the Content.
If you print, copy, download or use any of the Content (in whole or in part) in breach of these terms, your right to use the Content will cease immediately and you must at the option of the University return or destroy any copies of the material you have made.
Nothing in these terms and/or the Content shall be taken, construed or considered as a grant of licence or right to use the intellectual property of the CARLA project or University or that of any third party displayed on the site without the prior written permission of the respective owner/s.
The CARLA project team has made reasonable efforts to locate, contact and acknowledge copyright owners and wishes to be informed by any copyright owners who are not properly identified and acknowledged on this site so that we may make any necessary amendments.
Notice and takedown policy
If you suspect, or become aware, that any Content may potentially or actually infringe the rights of any other party (including rights related to the protection of IP, privacy and/or reputation) please contact the University’s Copyright Guidance Service in accordance with the University’s takedown notice.
